especially over this week because the Die Gute Fabrik socials are going to be sharing some of the music I've been making for their game, Saltsea Chronicles. this is at least 1-1.5 years of sitting on some of these, too, so i'm glad and a lil nervous but eager to finally share some things! will post them here pending my online capacity (it's just been low this year generally) and any bits of context is added in the read more!

This is one of the first bits of music that's heard while exploring the first island in Saltsea Chronicles, Njarfie Roust. I'm well pleased with the winds / strings / voice textures I arranged here especially the clarinets - they probably my favourite sound on this track though they feature a bit here and there on the soundtrack generally anyways

that being said, trying to get the strings to feel a lil like the higher winds on the island's peak, or the hushed voices like the surrounding ocean, was Very Fun, and I took most of the inspiration of the palette for this track from what I was seeing in the environment (winds moving through bushes/poles/houses/etc). I didnt do this for every single bit of music like this, but made sense to me in this case

The section of this track is a minute or so of up to 9-10 minutes, there will be quite a lot of long arrangements on this release generally! The full version of this first features this section of music changing as it would when you'd explore the exterior/interior parts of the island, and then eventually, we'll have arrangements of music that plays as you progress through the island's main story points.

so that's the format I've mostly been working with aside from other standalone tracks that support the story. always appreciate hearing what folks think especially since this style is kinda a different turn for me! i will share more when I can o.o
