This never was going to apply to Nintendo or other large users of the engine. Their lawyers would never settle for the clause that allows them to change the agreement at any time. Like fuck you can. Here's a pile of money in licensing fees. Our business is concluded. Changing agreements is for the little people.

I mostly do agree, but at least one Unity exec claimed that for Game Pass games, the fee would be charged to Microsoft.

Evidently they fully expected to be able to charge a fee to a company with which they don't even have a licensing contract for a particular game.

The big companies would 100% be getting a better deal than the small indies, but Unity has also abandoned all sense and was always getting lawyered.
