as a consequence of my position being added to the union, the retaliatory hiring freeze which drastically diminishes the possibility of me being promoted up out of this temporary position, and the subsequent shortage of hours (40 hours these last two weeks combined, about 20 hours a week) due to the nervousness of my job's department in giving hours to temporary employees over permanent, i am rapidly running out of money in my savings account.
i did not want to run a crowdfunding campaign out of a sense of "oh, other people need the money more than i do" but i am actively nervous about making rent every month between now and the potential move in date to a more affordable apartment this summer. if you can chip in, my Venmo account is @/RachelJStevens .
I do not like asking for money, especially when I've already recently asked for money for my phone and medical bills, but I have been put into a position where I have to by external forces. I have tried to handle this myself and it is not working- there's only so much an autistic transbian with diagnosed C-PTSD can do. I will happily accept anything you can spare, even if it's just a rechost.
