I was a perpetual masker for a lot longer than most people around here, even my family, but I finally grew okay with generally being maskless. I still feel like our wearing one sometimes though, and I would never denigrate someone who does.
That's fair. I think I'm the only one left in my family. My Mom masks sometimes, but it's usually just me. At work, there's maybe 2 other people who mask. It's probably silly, but it still doesn't feel "safe" commuting and such without it.
Personally, I've landed on only masking if I feel like I have any cold or flu like symptoms. So I ask quite rarely these days. But I totally respect those who still do it on the regular!
I mask up when I ride public transit.
Or if the grocery store is particularly crowded..
Public transit is so cramped lately, too! Yesterday I had to take a shuttle bus that was so packed I could barely stand there were so many people.
Wearing a mask if you have a cold should really have been universally adopted.
Feel like the world missed it's one shot at it.
I'll mask if I have cold and even sometimes in small shops (aka The York Ghost Merchants) as you're literally rubbing shoulders with people.
I'm surprised it wasn't adopted. Only hospitals kept it going.
That makes sense. There's a local indoor farmer's market that's like that. Big space, but TONS of people! It's in center city and everyone goes there for lunch. Wouldn't be caught dead without a mask there.
