Congrats! I think I won like 4 matches total of SFIV. I learned very quickly that the fact I could beat my bitch-ass friends as 12 year olds in SF2 did not mean I was good.

The only fighting game I've really been able to connect to in my adult years is Injustice 2. I really can't believe no one else has copied the Multiverse mode. It was basically the meta concept of Helldivers 2. Everyone breaks up into clans (no real interaction, it's just kinda how the system worked) and then there were weekly PvE challenges you could play solo with a whole bunch of crazy modifiers (part of the floor is lava, alternating every 15 seconds which fighter does double damage, stuff like that). The more your clan members won individually, the closer you got to completing the challenge. There were gear rewards that boosted stats (didn't affect competitive play, just this mode - that was something people were REAL concerned about but wound up being much ado about nothing). It was so fucking cool

I don't think I won any online matches in SSFIV. In fact, losing to a Zangief as Ibuki first got me to learn fireball inputs. That was maybe shortly after I learned how NOT to button-mash.

That does sound cool! The closest SFVI has is Extreme Battle, which is silly, but pretty limited.
