thinking i might start talking about tea here, because i am getting really into it. i'm new to this and my palate is probably pretty undeveloped, but if i don't write about it, i will not remember which ones i to buy again and which ones to avoid.
tieguanyin is a Chinese oolong.
brewed 2.26g of tea in 6oz of tap water at 195°f
2 minute steep, +30s per additional steeping.
steeped three times.
at the tea shop i requested a floral oolong and this was one of the recommendations. personally, i thought it tasted more like sweet hay, cream, and honey. some light floral notes (lavender? jasmine?) come out in the finish, but it's never perfumey. it's PERFECTLY sweet. definitely worth buying again.
