Someday there will be comics!!!!

I have a short list of games for the nintendo switch I intended to purchase someday due to the convenience of being able to play them while laying in bed. It's my favorite way to play games due to my bad back and general comfort.

Most of these games are actually ports of old titles that were originally released on other non-nintendo consoles. In other words, they are not nintendo IPs. With the exception of Super Mario Maker 2, Animal Crossing New Horizons and three Pokemon titles, all of the other games I have on the switch are NOT nintendo IPs.

I have now added all of the ports I intended to get on the switch that are also available on steam to my steam wishlist. I have made a new list of switch games that are non-nintendo IPs that are currently unavailable on PC and ports I would've purchased for the switch that were HD remasters or included significant content that is unavailable elsewhere so that I can look into acquiring those versions of those games in some other way in the future.

Due to some very fun and pleasant experiences I had with a couple of friends in Animal Crossing New Horizons at the beginning of the pandemic, and the thought that I might be able to play some of the ported fighting games I have on switch online, I have been subscribing to Nintendo Switch Online since I got my switch lite at the beginning of the pandemic.

I won't be resubscribing to nintendo switch online this year (hey look, $20). I won't be purchasing the new nintendo console under any circumstances when it comes out. I won't be purchasing any more games for the nintendo switch. I will not be giving a single cent to this company ever again.

Nintendo's anti-consumer practices and continued battle against games preservation were bad before I got my switch lite and have only gotten worse since then. The ONLY ways I will play any new games that are Nintendo IPs going forward are in ways that nintendo does not want.

As someone who's never had regular income that could be directed towards non-essentials I have long taken part in the practice of "try now, buy later if possible." I haven't run across a company who publishes anything I would be interested in that has ever acted in such an egregious way as to omit the second part of that practice. Til now.

Good job ninty. ๐Ÿ‘
