battlebots is a fun sport because one of the contestants is a literal child. like there's some speed racer shit happening where this twelve year old (backed by his legendary bot-building stepdad) goes up against teams of grown adults

I enjoy how the presence of the child has also allowed Ray Billings to enter a general older mentor mode, rather than just being the villain of the show (even if he has been a very good villain)
