Hello! I'm finally able to post!

I'm Isis E. Prosser the Storm Dragon (IsisDreamWeaver on Twitter for any mutuals over there). I am a Metroid fan first and a dragon second.

I'm a demiromantic asexual lesbian and I like to write demiromantic asexual lesbian characters. Working on making that more explicit in the text rather than implicit/"Because I said so", but... Anyway.

I like other video games besides Metroid I swear. My interests are legion.

Anyway, not sure how much I'll actually post, at least until I've got a better handle on how things work here. I'm a lurker by nature. Just wanted to say hi.

One Last Time...

I really want to write a big heartfelt post or something, but... man. I'm just so sad to see Cohost go and that's the best I can manage.

So, another reblog of my old intro post since the links are up to date (except for Twitter, but I can easily be found there... although to be honest I am on it less and less these days, for good reason)

there's something really sad about being in one of the earliest timezones on here

i've been watching everyone else's lights go out one by one; eventually mine will too

but until then, i'm here. just watching as the goodbye posts slowly stop coming, and everyone's accounts finally peter out for good

it gives me the same feeling as watching the sun rise after spending all night on fun escapades as a teenager. sitting on the porch, drinking homemade sun tea, and watching as the landscape slowly changes from one phase to the next.

the night was beautiful. i'll miss the laughs, the memories, the stars. the slow-moving hours where i had all the time in the world and no one expected anything of me.

but every beautiful night eventually ends, and it's time to move on. hopefully, the day will be just as gratifying as the night once was. i certainly hope so.

remember the stars we saw here. hold them close. take them with you when you go. put one in your window to light the way for others; let them know your home and heart are open.

here's to the night we shared together, and the day that's about to dawn on us.

may your day be bright, may your cups and hearts always be full, and wherever you go, i hope it's where you need to be.

you can choose to post hot takes or you can choose to make dunks or you can choose to make fun of someone who will never see it or know about it. you can choose to separate yourself from who you are, from where you are, and from what you truly want to be happy. or you can make the really difficult decision to be kind in situations when you really do not want to. and it may have no other result, except making you better at being kind. and that is a gift that only you can give to yourself. it will be hard and then it will be easy.
