Funny how the very first (still) image of the Fresno Nightcrawlers is actually kinda cool and haunting in a "wtf am i looking at" way but every fan image of them since then has been >100x worse by wanting to spell out / add more detail to them. Definitely a very straightforward lesson in the perils of Showing The Monster in any visual medium.
