much as i personally view metroid prime trilogy as timeless, there's really no denying that it is, indeed 2000's science fiction. but its art direction is so strong that it doesn't feel generic to me.
idk, i'm just curious if 4 will retain that visual identity despite it being dated, arguably, or if it will try for a more 'modern' look. i don't really expect much visual cues from metroid dread because i assume 4's visual identity would have been decided prior to that reveal and release, but who knows.
metroid prime remastered is probably a safe bet for what type of aesthetics 4 will be aiming for, even if that coat of paint was put over early 2000's scifi aesthetics.
this is just another way of me saying i want to see metroid prime 4.
