You know, I'm kind of surprised almost no one brings up the religious trauma angle. This is like, the first writing on the game that I've seen that brings it up.
To me, it feels like the religion in the game is based off of Christianity, but I don't want to impose on your work an angle it wasn't meant to be if I'm wrong.
Oh no, no worries at all! It's not surprising to read it that way - the name Mammon comes from Abrahamic religions, for one. But, I think that the Church of MAMMON doesn't necessarily have to be read as a representation of a particular religion, or even a religion at all. I think there are a lot of things that can become the Church of MAMMON to someone!
