most things are less annoying than Edge. I really like Vivaldi, which lets me leave like 400 tabs open without issue and actually makes it possible to go back and find one again; doesn't get in my way or visibly spy on me and sell a detailed record of everywhere I go and everything I do to Haagenti, Great President of Hell; also has a bunch of program computer nerd customizability shit I don't care about but lots of people do.
Brave is a little slower, ostensibly much better on privacy/security features but I dipped out once the mobile version started bombarding me with NFT ads, which is possibly the last thing I want to see in someone selling me on security features.
Chrome is still the web standard for the forseeable future and does everything more or less okay but will definitely be spying on everywhere you go and everything you do on behalf of Haagenti, Great President of Hell.
Firefox is less annoying than Edge but breaks compatibility with web standards a lot, which means it fucks up loading websites a lot. As a person who fields a lot of 'help the website is down' calls 90% of them are from people who use Firefox witnessing it push an update that makes half the internet inaccessible them in ways that stopped happening for everyone else in the mid-late 2000s.
Brave exists because Mozilla's former CEO got the boot for being too homophobic. Pease do not use the crypto-riddled homophobe fork of Chromium
I usually use firefox but recently I heard that opera is pretty good too. both are light on system resources relative to chrome and have plenty of themes and extensions you can add on if that's your thing
im part of the occupied chrome resistance forces because tabs outliner hasn't been ported to firefox yet
for those not in The Know, this is barely exaggeration - nearly every web browser left other than Firefox, is built on top of Chromium (the open-source part of Google Chrome)
