Thinking about how, just, bad Palworld looks.
Not in terms if the game is fun to play, but in terms it looks exactly like something PETA would produce as a parody game and we would all just roll our eyes and move on, but it had a budget and commercial aims for some reason.
It's genuinely cringe on a fundamental level, the sort of edgy humor from the early 2000s flash era that only works for about a second, and then has increasingly lesser returns to the point you just become numb to it. Heck, it even looks poor as a form of cultural criticism, because any substance could have easily been accomplished in a five minute PETA flash game everyone would roll their eyes at and move on.
I am genuinely amazed this is a fully released product and I do not understand anyone who would bother giving it the time of day. I think the target audience is solely early adult year Pokemon fans who never touched edgy flash games in their childhoods, but as someone who's seen far too many Kirbys vomiting blood, I'm just waiting for a second joke.
