Here's who I'm using in TOR on the Republic side. My smuggler, Ace Crackfort (yes, really), will be getting his story finished first on this side. The sense of humor of his story really grabbed me in a way the other three haven't, especially since good and light options are often really funny.

I took Laga, my knight, out of the robe because her tomboy hair is very Important. She has the most dark side points of all of my characters, ultimately a light side character but definitely the roughest around the edges, and also very full of herself. Luda has the second most dark side points, mostly because she thinks some Jedi stuff like ban on love and some teaching practices are bullshit, but is otherwise a diplomatic, calm person who's trying to do the right thing as the sith she comes across try to break her down. Not counting out further dark choices, curious as to what they're like. Sel is Commader Shepard (same voice actress) and gave her the heavy set body type, since I find the muscular one a bit too cartoonish, but she needed some heft due to her carrying around a space chaingun everywhere.

I settled on vigilance for my knight guardian, which mixes good offense with damage over time flame stuff with some added bells and whistles. Consular shadow is serenity for a VERY useful move called force in balance, which is a close range AOE that also heals back 10% of damage done. Trooper commando is gunnery for long range blunt damage, which is just more fun to pull off than the DoT variant. Smuggler scoundrel is a scrapper, and I'm focusing heavily and building up upper hands to make use of my goofy punches (absurdly strong) and a great AOE that locks down weaker enemies for a bit.

Needless to say, they're all light siders, because that's the most interesting option due to them being, you know, on the wrong side. Halia was my first character so she's furthest along, having finished act one.

Halia is a noble person trying to do good and keep her word in a society that has problems with that. Zavik is an aggressive sort, but his time as a slave has made him sympathetic to others and he tries to be merciful and kind - unless dealing with obviously untrustworthy people, especially those with more power than him. Bathia is a patriot who's trying to do things her way and is finding a lot of friction with the grim realities of her job, but is also now friends with an amoral serial criminal who keeps giving her bad ideas, so she's also becoming much snarkier and even more open to lying beyond a professional skill. Rayth is just trying to do her job and setting a score with someone, while having to deal with the triple social debuff of being a female alien civvie in the space fascism empire.

Halia is a warrior marauder and I believe I went with fury, which I think is the hybrid damage focus, a good mix of lightsaber strikes and force powers. Zavik is an inquisitor sorcerer with the lightning discipline so you can take a wild guess what that does (hint: lightning). Bathia is an agent sniper with marksmanship, which gives strong AOEs and a powerful single charge shot. Rayth is a powertech with advance prototype. I was doing the flamethrower focused style, but it isn't very satisfying on a play level, so I switched over to wrist blades as my focus (I still have some flamer stuff as a base part of the class). I like having to take building heat into account, but I wonder how long it will last because the smuggler's energy mechanic is now completely ignored because punching no longer takes energy. That is not a joke, that is a passive he can get, it's nuts.
