like, yesterday

i was told a week or two ago about the gamer feeds and was like "oh cool an easier way to share my reviews without them flopping like a dead fish"

then i see this + notice a bunch of variations and i just go "yeah i'm sticking to the main feed/meta if i ever have to push a freelance work"

speaking of, after a promising bit of activity from this site in october it seems my interactions have gone down to nil again. Wonderful. I dont even think I see most of the friends who followed me a year ago here anymore so i'm starting to wonder if there's any activity left from newcomers who just leave in a few weeks anyway. Can the mods please get their heads outta their asses and just help us fucking freelancers already

even a unified official feed, singular, would do wonders

Even with all my complaints i still prefer this site more over other socials and i am harsh because i want it to improve

Just like when i review a game that makes obvious dumb mistakes but i see potential

I also am this way because quite frankly a site i used for a few months called Vidme pulled the same charade but awful promotion (plus viewbotting and other shady shit) but i stuck around as i found a nice community and met some cool new YTers i still follow now there, and then oops i wake up to the site replaced with a goodbye screen with not even time given to say goodbye because they ran outta money

And when i hear of this site’s financials and see stubborn choices I really hope you see why I Do Not Want a Repeat

this has bothered me for a while. just use the relevant tag instead of inventing a new tag which is the same tag but inexplicably longer. it's also imo explicitly counter to the ethos of the Global concept - there's nothing global about specificity.

a lot of the time they're using both - they tag with every possible variation of the words they're actually tagging with, and then they add those words to the end of Cohost Global Feed too and tag with every possible variation that way

trying to maximize viewership, but aren't sure which variants of the tags people are actually looking at
