So, Bluesky is inevitably becoming the second Twitter, and not in a good way

If there even is a good way to it. Thinning out any discourse into a simplistic one-dimensional slogan shouting fueled by emotional reactions is probably the only way any microblogging platform can function.

And the worst thing is that we all hooked on it, and there are no real alternatives. It's either this, or enclave-isation via comfortable echo chambers of Mastodon and Discord.

I would gladly consider Cohost as the silver line here if it wasn't a niche thing. We are more or less on the same page here on lots of stuff to consider us an echo-chamber, albeit of relatively larger dimensions.

People are stadily unlearning how to talk, discuss, and consequently, how to think. Fucking scary.

Eh, most you can expect out of a site that admins agree with your politics and that it won't get shit by enshitification.

You can expect everyone to act civil all the time, especially when you're responding to the same tired argument again and again.

It's also hard to keep an open mind if you're interacting with people that deny your personhood etc.
