A couple days ago @shel @clip and I went into a deli deciding if we wanted to get food there and ultimately we decided to go somewhere else but on the way out the person working there said

"Y'all didn't see anything you wanted?"

And then everyone involved rolled a 1 because I said "they need cheese" and the person nodded and was like "ah" as if that made any sense but like

The person I was referring to specifically needed NOT cheese (due to the lactose intolerants)
Even if "cheese" was the thing we needed, that doesn't make any sense, it's a deli, they HAVE cheese

"They need cheese"

In my Starbucks days I had someone walk in, read the menu board, tell me, "you don't have milk," and walk out again, and I reacted almost exactly like the deli person you encountered did. Sometimes you just have a day that's Like That!
