i got the last of my buttons in today!...they're a bit late to the party, but i guess that just means i'll have plenty in stock for AWU in July~ β¨β¨β¨
speaking of conventions...i never finished updating y'all on Furlandia! i was thoroughly wiped out by the end of it, in the best way! attendance was way higher than anyone expected (doubling from 1000 last year to 2000!), and things were a little chaotic! X3
even with all the upfront costs i had to sink in order to start tabling at cons again, i managed to make a little money by the end of the weekend! my charity sticker also brought in roughly ~$240, all of which will be donated towards helping Palestinians! if you bought one, thank you so so much! π΅πΈπ΅πΈπ΅πΈ
i think my favorite part was having a trinket tin at my table...i filled it with various little things i've had around my apartment, fun finds from the local DIY and craft stores, stickers and buttons i wanted to rehome, and many more treasures! all free for the taking or tradeable, and the tin even collected some new treasures over the con! it's delightful seeing someone's face light up when you tell them they can have a free little treasure :3
i talked to lots of different critters, and felt right at home! i'm always pleasantly surprised when i go to a con and rediscover how natural it feels...i'm very much in my element, evidenced by how effortlessly i mingle and interact with everyone there! you'd hardly know i'm a cryptid that spends most of its time home and gets anxious interacting with strangers in public ^^"
anyways! overall, very good con, i'll try to be back next year in some form! and i'm looking forward to my next few furry cons this year~
