ngl i think i kinda prefer the magic system of dark souls 1&2 over 3 and elden rings's.
having a set amount of casts per spell instead of a shared bar grants more utility to the weaker spells and gives you a reason to equip multiples of the same spell at all. plus having to ration using spells like "if i spend a pebble flick on the weaker guys now, i'll have two less fart blasts on the big boss later" just makes me hesitant to cast at all. plus like, having to give up red sips for blue sips kind of makes equipping healing spells kind of redundant, if not less efficient for healing lol
