Tabletop, video games, sports and maybe someday some other things if I get the ambition to learn.

So much happens all the time. Maybe front loaded this part of the game.

In game: Second week of January - Party returned from Tibet, got caught up on the news they missed while underground (in the Dungeon World). The runner group that Mike had been having a friendly rivalry with is no more. Most members are now dead, while the remaining ones are in prison. Additionally, after some corporate shuffling, Aztechnology has tumbled, Wuxing climbs, and EVO... stayed the same.

Rodge was the victim of a failed Lifestyle roll this month. His Humanis higher-up mother went to one of his contacts, the man who runs the pawn shop where he gets his lost media from. She pressured him to allow her to deliver the package to Rodge, but, the owner's Loyalty held, and he let her know that he had no package in and that he hadn't heard from Rodge in awhile.

They rested the rest of the month and trained skills. Mike got a call from Fred saying he was out of jail and needed to repair his bar that was hit up.

February: Nobody failed lifestyle (sad for me, because it's a fun way to pull them into messy side stuff)

All three major plots were introduced.

  1. UPPL, the ultimate gig work app, launched
  2. The Seattle Police Department went on strike, leaving huge areas of the city unpoliced, and Knight Errant and Lone Star slowly start to fight for more contracts.
  3. Humanis introduced a bill that would have each city cordoned off into burroughs for each metatype. Humans in the nicest parts of the city, and forcing everyone else into their own slums. The premise was 'If they can show they belong in polite society, we can consider reintegrating them". But of course, funding to these places is going to be godawful.

The capper was that they also received a message on the BBS inviting them out for a drink, to celebrate their resurfacing and their hit on EVO. This was a trap.

It was orchestrated by the runner group The Razor's Edge, whom they faced on one of their first missions. Mike nearly blew up their leader completely with a grenade, but he survived after burning Edge. They wanted payback, but got routed.

Lots happened in this 2 hour 45 minute session. Lots of groundwork laid. The party HATES UPPL. They were mad and a little spooked when they learned Saeder-Krupp was behind it, but resolved to take it down, as it cut out all fixers, and reduced everyone's pay by 2/3 if they took jobs through it. They want this thing gone. The Humanis bill is also on their agenda, but that's further away from being an issue.

We also talked about what to do when the game is Done Done. LANCER seems to be the leading candidate.

Only real bummer part of the game is that I put Rodge on the spot a lot tonight, and he's been tired. His character has given me the most levers to work with and I had too many things left undone with his character from before, so I just pulled them in together too quick, and didn't toss to the other players enough to let him relax some.
