I don't know if other PDF readers do this, but ReadEra (Android, not sure about iOS) supporting like, page links AND having a "return to whatever page you were on when you first clicked the link" is great.
"Oh I want to check something that this page links to? Cool, now I can go immediately back". Perfect.
