yeah i like the magical girl read but he clearly falls into the possessed boy archetype with the hikaru no go boys, naruto, and yuji jjk. boys love to let an ancient spirit of evil and/or board games into their body
I think he's in the fourth ring of Magical Girl taxonomy, the "if he wanted to claim the title the umbrella would cover him without complaint, but he might be a more comfortable fit in a different category" ring
