Alright, this one isn't going into any main feeds, because it's just me jotting down some worldbuilding.
- A shift in the premise. The party will be part of Unity forces, collected from volunteer, drafts, and people offered up by corporations, nations, organizations, etc, sent to aid a small nation on the planet Vell. The nation is stuck between two larger coalition nations that are using it as a battlefield for their world war. United Forces are there to provide assistance to the smaller nation, while also trying to ramp down the war, to the point of ceasefire.
I think this is a solid setup, but I think the big card I have in my pocket is that this is a proxy war between two other larger planets, as direct interplanetary war catches the Unity Hammer pretty quick.
- The two nations at war are the United Nations of Zusa, who's naming conventions I'm going to steal from Germanic, Italian and Russian tweaked translations of words (Zusa coming from the start of Zusammen, which Google Translate says is the German translation of Together), and the Republic of Dynamis, who uses a Final Fantasy/Greek inspired naming theme (Dynami is the translation of Power from Greek, and Dynamis is endgame content in FFXI).
Taking inspiration from things I've seen lately, the war is inspired by, of all things, Naruto, that I watched with my partner recently, specifically the focus on the Third war in that show, where a small village was the battle ground for an entire world war between several nations. Instead of completely tearing this place apart, I want to see what would happen if one of the greater powers in the world actually provided them protection and assistance during that time.
The LL0 mission will be a VR training simulation for the party, as part of their pre-deployment training. Will be a fight, infiltration, and escort encounter, I believe.
Next week we start building characters, so I need to get the last bit of world gen information up for them.
