One thing I don't miss from the bird site is seeing the same cycles of TTRPG 💿🐴 get dragged up every of couple months. Just the same tired arguments playing out over and over again.
One cause of this is how big TTRPGs are now (in no small part bc of the success of 5e D&D). Every day, someone is entering the TTRPG-sphere for the first time. Which is great! More people should be able to enjoy the wide world of TTRPGs.
To them, these topics/realizations are new! But that also makes them vulnerable to bait-posts from bad actors/instigators/chuds (which 🐦 has plenty of). As Cohost grows, what resources does the TTRPG community have to help new folks catch up on the reading?
Gonna dive through my own posts in the TTRPG tag and look for ones to add a tag titled something like "Microwaved TTRPG Discourse".
Not serious though because the only one I have that might qualify is stating my position on the 3.5 vs 4e editions edition wars.
