This one was kind of fun to put together. I think only the first half of the mission will get done, hence only two maps below, but I'll outline my ideas for steps 3 and 4 below.
PIRATE // RADIO // SIGNAL
The group is housed at the outer edges of the encampment, just sort of keep them away from core systems, as their crew contains an anti-Union revolutionary in it. Because of this, they aren't assigned to intervene in the war writ large yet. Instead they're on cleanup duty and other minor missions. I had considered doing a bunch of 1 encounter missions but only advancing LL every other mission, but that seemed unfair. So instead, busywork.
Their mission is to locate a nearby pirate encampment and bust up, and recover any resources that may have been taken by the pirates to return to the local population.
Encounter 1
Sitrep: Escort/Extraction - The party needs to make it from their deployment zone on the left, and move to the right, and Extract behind enemy lines.
Enemy Deployment: 1 Titan, 4-8 Cataphract grunts, 2 non-grunt Hornets with the Scrapper template.
The setup: Lycoris squad is deployed to investigate the last known visual of pirates in the area. They need to slip past their defenses to try to locate the entrance to the outpost.
Encounter 2 - No Rest Opportunity
Sitrep: Recon - There will be 4 locations on the map, two on the little islands, and two underwater. One will be the actual entrance to the pirate's hideout.
Enemy Deployment - Shit I need to do this still. Using Seeders as depthchargers with hopping mine.
This one progresses immediately after the last mission. If the party does opt to try to rest, I will introduce further reinforcements, potentially some spawning from their Deployment Zone as reinforcements.
Encounter 3 - Rest Opportunity
Sitrep: Extraction kind of. The party will need to collect different dropped resources and return them to the Deployment Zone and extract.
Encounter 4 - Optional
On foot mission the "opportunity" gained by Mirage's "Get a damn drink". They can explore an underground network in the encampment and look for RESERVES.
I'm hoping this one goes well. I think this should go fine, feel pretty good about how it's constructed and having this play out directly as the results of Mirage's mixed roll on getting a drink.
