The New York Giants have history set in their sights, after their dismal quarterback performances today. Tyrod Taylor and Tommy DeVito combined to go 6/14 for 7 passing yards, not counting the 4 sacks they suffered in today's overtime loss to the New York Jets.
With Tyrod Taylor suffering an injury, and the Giants' normal starter, Daniel Jones, recovering from a neck injury, the Giants may take the ball entirely out of the third stringer's hands entirely and do something that hasn't been done since the Cleveland Browns' game against the Philadelphia Eagles in 1950: Play a game with 0 pass attempts. The Browns won that game, 13-7, on the back of a Warren Lahr pick-six, and two field goals from Lou Groza.
Saquon Barkley will need to follow up his workman-like 38 carry for 128 yards performance from today for this to happen though. If he can shoulder the load, we believe the Giants can keep the ball on the ground where it rightly belongs, and out of their quarterback's hands.
