I think what I like about LANCER prep is that I don't need to contrive anything. I can say "This is happening, here's where you're going" and just thrust them into Adventure. I feel like I need way more connective tissue for Pathfinder and it's making it a slog. I need to make sure noncombat stuff is showcased and used.
I'm betting that once I get at the table and start adlibbing things will go better, it's just the GM Solo Play portion of the game isn't as fun.
