Board games that I have that are technically two player but work better with 3.
- Catan
- King of Tokyo
- Red Dragon Inn
- Spell Wizards
- Trick taking games
- Uno
I lack board game friends in my area. Especially ones who take COVID precautions.
Tabletop, video games, sports and maybe someday some other things if I get the ambition to learn.
Flamecraft is probably my second favorite board game right now. It's a cute little worker placement style game about artisan dragons. Bakers, chefs, smiths, gem workers, botanists and potation makers.
It's charming and we were able to spring for the deluxe edition during it's Kickstarter (thank you boosted unemployment during 2020/2021) so we have metal coins and wood tokens and small figures for the different dragons.
I haven’t done much talking about board games here, but I felt inspired to write about one of my favorite board/card games, Jaipur. It’s a game that is relatively easy to pick up, but every game always feels so close, and it’s such a breeze to play, that I highly recommend it.
Jaipur is a 2 player game where you’re both playing merchants trying to win over the favor of the Maharajah, to be their personal trader. You do this by collecting cards and trading them for the corresponding good off the marketplace.
