post body?... uh... i have no body to post... i only have my very own which, at the moment, would much rather be located at home.
low effort funny post: ✔️
when i had my first website, i didnt know what to post. same goes for my blogger site and also my current website: i very much dont know what to write about.
sometimes, when i feel in the mood for it, i will write software. usually i try to write a game. currently i have these projects waiting for me to finally do them:
2d shoot em up: i wanted to write a 3d engine in rust and had an idea for a worldmap for a game that would be cloning luftrausers or hyperspace dogfights, but eventually i switched to developing it for the tic-80, though i didnt make it very far.
3d fps: i was exploring the blm and ua bundles on itch and found nullpointer, a nice twitchy random generated cyberdungeon shooter, when my partner said she wanted to make a game with me, so i started tinkering on a dungeon generator in godot. i am kinda stuck because the rooms wont connect atm.
2d racing game: there was another game in the itch bundles that caught my eye, it was a racing game with a 2d up-is-north cam that followed the player, and here i thought that would be an even better target than the shmup. i returned to the 3d engine i was writing in rust and the todo list i had there for the shmup and decided i should just use raylib instead of raw gl and since smup and racing are kinda similar i could build both in the same time kinda.
lets call it VREPL: an idea i have been nursing for quite some time is an integrated virtual programming environment. something like a REPL ("read, eval, print loop", an interface for live programming) for a symbolic programming language like lisp to be integrated in a game not only as a (perhaps secondary) scripting facility but also as a story element in the game.
there are other ideas that have even more yaks to shave to them but i think this might give you an overview of what i actually do: have ideas and not act upon them :D
unless i finally do of course, but i wouldnt hold my breath for my next release
