i like to think of people's ancestors doing weird stuff based on their last name. i met someone named Joiner- now I'm like, oh yeah, your ancestors loved to join stuff; crochet meets, hangout sessions, tabletop games, they just love to join things

So i dug out my x220 and wanted to tinker a bit in Janet. I fire up vscode and spend a couple minutes getting the repo updated... By the time I'm done and want to actually do some coding the fan is blowing like crazy and it starts to feel rather warm...
Disgusting thoughts about GPU usage in editors intrude and I close the window.
Fine.
But if I were to use Emacs, I need a way to send code to a repl.
Enter ijanet or interactive Janet mode: it's exactly what i need but according to documentation it only activates when a Janet major mode is active... So enter Janet major mode as well....
Ok now I 'installed' both with straight package manager. And Janet major mode activates fine, but ijanet is keeping quiet... Uh I'm not happy at all but for the time being at my wit's end ..
I'm still fairly dizzy... I suspect my liver to be acting up.... Guess I'll ease off the e for a couple days and lower the dosage :(
idk if the order (janet or ijanet first, thats the question) in my init file has any relevancy or if it was only because the author of interactive janet mode forgot to mention to (require 'comint) but now its working and apparently whatever make spits out on raylib is no valid ELF binary when i want to load it as ffi context... so there is that.
so raylibs github page includes the line to build it as a shared object.
nice
and then just replacing a couple paths from the other machine with local ones, turns out it just works.
doubly nice
but it doesnt display anything yet but that might be due to a broken sprite component definition.
oh well, that's a development i guess.
but then... as i am working on it, for some reason the session dies while i am pondering what to send to the repl next, and another takes its place to receive my call for another component... obviously it has no idea what im talking about...
i find it really funny how one domain of the german organization for transidentity and intersexuality is blocked by our firewall, while another isnt... and that isnt even the main domain... so i can still get myself educated, whether the admin likes it or not XD
