Story aside, what really kills the game for me is lack of incentive to explore. Beyond simply clicking the fast travel nodes, there is no real way to wander and stumble upon little adventures in between quests. It's just constant checklist maintenance.

It's that bad ?
It seemed lile you were having fun in spite of stuff so I guess it's really bad ?
Also, could you just give a quick outline of the main story without spoiling the twist ? It seems like nobody cared enough to ever allude to the story.

The main story is collecting mysterious space artefacts, gaining powers (not much of a spoiler if you read key bindings in options), running into power-havers who don't want you to continue doing those things, and then finding out who the power havers are. Haven't played any further and I probably won't.
