Unfortunately, super human space monk elites in a setting that looked like nothing else imprinted hard on me.
I even psychologized myself that I like Space Marines because they have no doubts or fears, because being an ELITE SUPER SOLDIER WITH COOLEST POWER ARMOR AND GUNS EVER DEVISED isn't reason enough.
And I'm probably too old now for a setting to imprint on me this heavily.

You gotta try Battletech 2018, that’ll help you sort some feelings out. And if you can get into it, there’s a much wider world of mech and mecha waiting for you to discover them.
