Someone posted this 40K novel excerpt in Discord, and it is fucking garbage:
- Personal peeve, but you don't just vaporize ship-fulls of Marines like that
- Nuclear bombs aren't that effective in space, but w/e, that's a realism thing
- Atomics aren't really feared in Warhammer. Somebody will use them sometimes, but everyone usually has more powerful, more elegant weapons.
- It's 40K. They kill planets in the setting. The nukes aren't off limits because of they're too destructive.
- Space is fucking big and 40K ships are at least a kilometer long. How big of a blast should it be?
- How fucking close do you need to "close ranks" to push through "the Veil"? SPACE IS FUCKING BIG.
- A nuclear bomb capable of literally vaporizing multiple ships is something you base an entire book around, and not just something you toss in for cheap shock value.
In conclusion, fuck whoever wrote this garbage.
