For the last couple of years, I have been fascinated with how small the action in the North African theater is in numbers when compared to the Eastern Front.
Especially when you consider just how big of a sport N. Africa has in the [English-speaking] conciousness.
USSR takes twice as many casualties in four months than Allies had in total after three years of fighting and it's just a side-note in the grander tragedy of 1941-1942.
