Sure, there are devs and YouTubers and whoever else who have:

  • Done bad shit
  • Need to apologize

But taking longer to develop a game is not that, and - considering the crowd Wargame attracts - I can see the teen Rhodesian irredentists foaming at the mouth that WARGAME ISN'T UPDATE FAST ENOUGH.


The only way I see Eugen "not wanting WARNO" to succeed is them releasing the EA version last year with a like a week of announcement, nobody even knew it was coming. It has been solid development since then, and people are just mad that the new update didn't hit before NYE.

While some exceptions do exist - RSI, for example - taking time to create something isn't a scam, and for vidja, it's likely to result in a better game all around.
