if I click the X in the corner of a program, that program should FUCKING CLOSE. If I wanted the program to keep on running, I would click the minimize button instead.

I can tolerate a "are you sure you want to exit" prompt, as long as you let me permanently disable it. But continuing to run and just putting a dumb little icon in the bottom right of my screen is not okay. and continuing to run without even giving me the dumb little icon is grounds for execution.

I should not need to open a fucking task manager to make my music stop playing on your default audio player, Linux Mint.

I loved how Dawn of War 1 would have a prompt for when you Alt-F4 in the game. This + every game should have the option of quitting from the escape menu - and not forcing you to go to the main menu

Here's a Reminder that we are currently on the 3rd day of the Global Strike to support Palestine and we are taking collective action to get a Ceasefire NOW

we have been told to use social media to get the word out and to only spread information focused on awareness and action for Palestinians

the Global Strike started on Sunday the 21st and is set to end on Sunday the 28th, so this is for a total of one week- just 7 days

I understand that this may be quite sudden, but please stand in solidarity with us

(I'm concerned that folks on cohost seem to be blissfully unaware of the Global Strike since I've seen so few posts for Palestinians- that also seems to be the case over on tumblr as well

I don't get it, but I'll do what I can to get folks to take some good actions to put an end to this hell era of suffering for Palestinians... )

Man a lot of devs I follow on The Website are straight up depressed about the whole Palworld situation. The fact that this regurgitated slop is what skyrockets to #1 most played has got to be a blow to solo devs whose passion projects eke by mostly unnoticed.

My message to them would be, don’t give up! Take a look at Lethal Company. This kid was putting out Roblox maps and unique undiscovered horror gems before breaking through with a bonafide phenomenon. There is still time to find success and be rewarded for your dedication to the craft.

Dungeons and Dragons. Monopoly. Warhammer 40K The Miniature Game. 99% Of F2P Android games. Twilight. The list goes on.

A lot of people don't have the time to learn why [thing bad], haven't turned their brain into a nest of worms that critically approaches everything it sees, may not have the energy for cerebral stuff, and sometimes just want that dopamine treat.

It won't make it less painful to see [thing bad] outperform much better stuff, but such is life under capitalism. And while profit motive exists, slop laser targeted at the pleasure centers of the widest most audience will exist.

Until fully automated luxury gay space communism comes to pass, we all have draw succor from the fact that we recognition from the only audience that matters: Cohost posters.
