So that's why he started with Nintendo Switch before it came out: it's a niche still relatively open for grabs (the console isn't out) but already have interest (NINTENDO!!!).

And then he went with the scum-sucking SEO bullshit like "five best ways to play Nintendo Switch" because somebody had previously done successful work like that for another console.

This is the stuff dropshipping is made of. Money for nothing and chicks for free.

It pisses me off so much partially because I got into writing about games because My Opinions About Games Are Both Important And Good, but also because I can't/I don't want to operate in that cold, money-grubbing way. I'm not going out for freelance SEO work because that would mean 1) writing about something I don't enjoy and 2) actually putting in effort to get to write more about stuff I don't enjoy.

My whole t-shirt store was born out of disgust at easy t-shirt designs that rely on getting a popular reference (and, later on, wanting 30K t-shirts).

And I still felt bad about my favorite design, Straight From Fulda Gap, because that's an easy reference to get.

I also get temptation to write about More Popular Subjects for my blog. 5 Worst Dice GW Put Out is among my best performing articles, one that I made organically because GW was obsessed with making the most shitass dice designs at that point. Should I do something more like that? But I don't have any ideas like that. So it would mean reaching in to make something like it, and that's bad.

What I'm trying to say is that I hate molding myself into a shape that makes money and I am thus furious at people who see no issue in molding themselves into a shape that makes money.

Hearing someone else call AI just jumped-up text-prediction is so good. Especially at work, sometimes I feel like I'm crazy with how a lot of people are amazed by it.

And while I don't agree with Hbombs existencialist twist at the end, I think it holds true for Somerton.

He isn't like Filip or some ice-chewing psychopath ghoul that makes pregnant Elsa videos for a quick buck. I've seen people like that in real life: the quality of their product isn't how they derive their self-worth - it comes from the money. Money is the product.

But Somerton - not entirely dissimilar to some dingus in a Death Guard avatar making triple post thread on Cohost - wants to be recognized for the work itself and not just for the money.

But the jig is up! Somerton is no longer the very special boy in a turtleneck who sits in a dark room in front of a camera dropping truth bombs onto young gays. He's only special in how lazily - and how much - he stole!

And I feel schadenfreude from the fact that Hbomb's video had him nuke his YouTube channel and Patreon.

Then again, I wouldn't be able to survive the shame of getting caught on any single instance of plagiarism shown in the video - I have a hard time forgetting minor mistakes - so maybe he isn't squirming that much.

But if you put that capability on an online platform with a bunch of 40K weapons, armor options, clothing varieties, etc., people could do that!

1. Clip it
2. Remove the mold-lines
3. Drill the gun barrel
4. Glue it together
5. Paint it to not look like shit

It all takes time - and with #5, there's no guarantee that it won't look like shit!

That's basically all default presets - I didn't even fuck around with advanced posing or face features. And how much would it cost me in monetary terms?

• $19.99 for 100 micron layer resolution plastic print. I'd still have to paint it myself, plus, it's Hero Forge suggests that it's not as sturdy as a regular plastic miniature.
• $29.99 for 50 micron layer premium plastic, perfect for painting perverts. We're still under what GW asks + I don't have to assemble shit.
• $44.99 for color plastic "with faint layer lines" and similar durability to other plastics. I don't know what that means exactly, and the paintjob will look flatter than done by a real human bean, but real human beans don't paint minis for $10 unless they really undervalue themselves. I'll gladly pay $10 to not have to do it myself.

This would be even better with the highly-customizable Space Marine commander being an ancient smoll marine model that RIP in piss and current offerings all being monopose garbage dudes with a passion for hero rocks.

In conclusion, the people should elect me to be the king-emperor of GW, at which point I'd declare the Beast Wars non-canon... and also strike a Hero Forge partnership, sure.
