It's so disorientating that it feels I've never used this site before.
Why is it only posts that go dark? Are there site-wide dark mode settings that I can't find?
so when a witch - a real witch and not just a woodsy lesbian goth - goes flying around on er broom or in her cauldron, how much does she care for METAR? How do magical flight apparatuses react to crosswinds or reduced visibility? Can a witch CFIT?
And if it's raining, does the witch get soaked while flying? Would a witch be able to fly in a sand storm? Would she brave hurricane weathers?
Incidentally, fighter planes were not always able to fight in inclement conditions due to the slight issue of "eyes, our most prominent sensor, don't do too well in heavy rain and night."
So the early radar-adopting planes were called "night fighters," but also "all-weather fighters." I guess the reasoning being that if you can see at night, you can see in heavy rain as well.
Naturally, de Havilland Mosquito, the plywood wonder, can count itself among the number because that baby was versatile as shit.
