I got so desperate, I messaged the store I buy minis from whether they know anything.

They didn't, but the support person google'd a Spikey Bits speculation article on the topic. Top of the line customer support!

Also, the theory is that the rulebook went out to the influencers with major errors and had to be returned to be fixed and reprinted.

The game was meant to come out in August. It's October and there's no release date.

Some personal theories on what was so bad about the rulebook:

Every instance of letter "n" was replaced with the n-word.
Instead of the rules for running, they printed the entirely of the John Galt speech.
One page was printed on asbestos.

And it just hammers home how much damage multiverses entering the public consciousness has done for our entertainment, especially when creators seem confident enough to mash them with time-travel, a concept they can barely handle on the best of days
