...You know what, I'm perfectly fine with Babylon 5 having ~three shows and two games.

The more you let capital make of a thing, the more likely are you to end with some with a bunch of horribly mutated skinwalkers. They break your heart, since they look like The Thing You Love, but entirely miss the point of original and have nothing what made it good.

...inexplicably, there's also a bunch of people lining up, perfectly happy, to hug the mutant skinwalker and proclaim it to be to great,

Mattel CEO/Hasbro immediately missing the point so hard it causes the point to be erased from history via the collective power of being ignored: Barbie movie is a success because it's about a nostalgic children's toy. We need more nostalgic children's toy movies. We need a Barbie cinematic universe.

On one hand, they're doing their thing independently of you and they can engage in antics that be endearing, but can also be infuriating.

So that's another autonomous being at home.

On the other hand, cats don't have the issues (or at least not at the same scale) as weird roommates. No issues over unpaid rent. Less likely to rob you. Isn't some weirdo who just likes touching feet without consent.

Cats can engage in shenanigans, break your things, eat your food and lick your nipples for some reason, but the scales and the stakes are much lower, plus, cats aren't getting off to their weird fetishes.

Cats? Good.

I don't like driving. I don't drive. My loicense had gone unrenewed for two years before 2023.

Thus, I'm not that interested in cars.

But just slap EV in front and I'm immediately interested. Why??? Do I just want a slice of the future?

Look at the AMC Wolf1. I don't need a pickup truck - the heaviest thing I move is me. To utilize it fully, I'd have to be driving to remote places via unpaved roads, a. k. a. places without indoor plumbing or internet a. k. a. places I don't really want to be at.

But some Commiefornians make an electric Hillux and I experience neuron activation. Wtf.

  1. are boy @Bezdarbor probably has some stuff to say about the words used in the video. Me, I just think the whole "this is a revolution where electric vehicles and adventure intertwine" pablum is meant for people who need recorded petrol engine audio to make them drive an EV.
