The heavy-metal Chamon wizard can be tied to the fluff to explain why the troops look more ornate than whatever will pass for a state troop at the time.
I'll just say that they're a company from Tilea/Estalia/Border Princes, nobody knows/gives a shit about what happens there.
The "art experiment" allowed me to produce a few pieces that aren't good art but I'm still proud of and what to show people; I think they're a good mix of skill, medium, idea and amount of effort.
On the lower left, I consciously decided yo go more impressionist over detailed as detail requires a lot more precision and sense of perspective to look any decent
On the top left, I tried the same, but also used crayons and coloring markers while also painting straight into a notebook.
This is important because this may finally help me understand why people post and praise miniatures that aren't painted at least to my intensely mediocre level.
