When you compare the arguments he makes vs. the arguments he presents from the pro-AI bluecheck swarm there's a mismatch.
Drew talks about the human touch and the creation of art.
Bluechecks are crying about sequels, derivative movies and wokeness.
Bluechecks are, naturally, wrong. And stupid.
Are we getting sequels, rehashed plots, and "woke" stuff because the screen writers are running wild with the gay agenda while also phoning it in at work?
No. It's happening because that's what the studio fat cats want.
Studio fat cats want more comic book movies because comic book movies sell. They want more sequels and reboots because established IPs are known/assumed to sell. They allow woke stuff because it sells.
Studio fat cats, being part of the capital, are risk-averse, and the more money is involved, the more risk-averse they become. That's why any woke stuff is springled absolutely sparingly: it needs to be minute enough to be excised for Chinese consumption.
Someone really in with the progressive agenda wouldn't do that.
So in the end, if you replaced all the screen writers with ChatGPT, the studio fat cat would enter "wonder woman 90s nostalgia 5 second minor character gay" and you'd get an even shittier movie than you get these days.
Nothing would change for the better.
But since people who unironically complain about wokeness would never criticize capital (outside of going on anti-Semitic rants about globalists), they have to criticize the next lower rung on the ladder.
That's why they'll always be wrong.
