The t-shirt in question 1

One of the best terms I learned while obsessively reading Cold War thread on Something Awful is "canned sunshine" - a euphemism for nuclear bombs.

Because once you open up one, you'll make the sun rise in any cardinal direction as well as producing some of the gnarliest possible tans.

Ofc, Campbell's Soup Can is one of the most iconic pop art pieces - in fact, Andy Warhol made one for every flavor on sale. A friend who had lived in the US for a time said that he tried it and it wasn't that good.

Oppenheimer is often referred to as "The Farther of the Nuclear Bomb," hence the name on the can.

"Enriched" is a reference to enriched materials used in nuclear weapons. However, having read the wiki, I'm not sure whether the plutonium used in Trinity counts as enriched.

I had also replaced the logo with a stylized nuclear explosion.

Of course, as with every design I sell on Redbubble, it was drawn by someone else. In this case, it was Sabina Korzunova

  1. most people insist on buying the design as a sticker, btw
