The last time T-62Ms were upgraded was in the 1980s.
Russia supposedly got rid of theirs by 2013.
They hadn't, as some were taken out of storage to be sent to Syria .
And now, they're updating their shit with (old) thermal sights for use in Ukraine
Not even bothering with ERA (explosive reactive armor, those bricks you see on Russian tanks).
The bulges you see on the turret here is applique armor from 1983, Kontakt-1 ERA was supposed to replace it in the 1985 modification.
