Turn 3/10. My undamaged Grand Dragon gets hit by a Hunchback, all straight into LT, leaving 5 structure.

Both both pilots fail their pilot tests.

My Grand Dragon fell on its face, all damage went to LT, critting LRM ammo.

One Grand Dragon obliterated by massive ammo cookoff.

The Hunchback was fine, spreading AC/20 love until he also brew up from an ammo crit.

At the end, it all came down to my Cyclops against my buddy's Raven. An Assault vs. a Light.

THIS WAS SOMEHOW A MATCH UP.

The Cyclops finally landed HIS FIRST AC/20 HIT OF THE GAME and the mechs crippled each other, leading to a draw.

BATTLETECH!

Battletech has the real ugly brawl vibes.

While sometimes stuff dies fast, a lot of the time it's a slugging match where fighters get progressively more fucked up.

AKA this is the best shit.

I want games where armies don't just get ground down to like 33% via low TTK fight.

Both forces in this battle lost one mech and had one mech crippled. That's 75% survival rate, but nobody's unblooded.

Great

I do have a British platoon that's... not that well painted and features the old "guns separate from hands" models

GUNS. SEPARATE. FROM. HANDS

It's hell in plastic.
