seems a good idea to protect the existing community & make sure twitter users don't erase it when suddenly 50k people drop in! i'm one of them & i try to fit in!

I think of C'host as more of the third coming of Livejournal / the Clout-less reincarnation of Tumblr.
It's very different from the birbsite.
Mastodon has more to fear, but also I'm confident that Mastodon's core ethos will keep itself honest, too.
i go where the people i enjoy following go, and some of them came here as well as mastodon, the stuff that can be done here and not done on twitter looks neat
