Super cool nerd chick. CW Mushrooms (not active, mainly culinary), Alcohol (I am contented)

So, I begrudgingly made a mastodon account (old one was deleted for inactivity) because everyone here is better at posting than me, and the mods have pointed out that Cohost isn't really set up to handle EVERYONE YOU KNOW FROM TWITTER migrating here at the same time. Masto seems to be seeing more volume more quickly, and it's, uh, not entirely popular.

Long time Mastodon users are comparing it to, like, a second Eternal September, which is interesting to say the least. Maybe not inaccurate? I chosted last night that Twitter has taught me to be a jerk, and loud, and obnoxious, and it's done that well, and to a lot of my long time friends. Mastodon also seems more annoyed with explaining etiquette and norms than Cohost does, and people are prone to a lot of passive-aggression.

Looking at my chosts and trying to figure out how to use the platform, I realize I've been sometimes obnoxious, but Cohost also doesn't give me the tools to make thousands of people have to see my posts clutter up their feed unless they block me. Strange days, all told.
