This is the second run of my html rewrite; I finally sat down and finished the pipe cleaner ends today1; it's been sitting essentially done for a while.

I did modify the eyes, mouth, and tummy of this one just for kicks; I have a vision of a more toadlike shape vs the treefrogish shape the pattern has by default. This didn't quite get there but I do like it!

The True And Chief Achievement, though, are the toes. I finally scrapped the legs and feet entirely and did these instead. They incorporate short rows to introduce subtle bends at elbows/knees and ankles and a far, far, far superior finger/toe method where I work opposite pairs of stitches into the digits instead of adjacent. I also worked the outside toe of each foot, then a row with all remaining stitches, then break out the other two toes. I did something similar ages ago knitting a fanart of a goblin from Ben Hatke's Mighty Jack, but I didn't think to try it until I was looking at it the other day tidying up The Basket of Knit Toys. These toes spark so much joy

  1. I coated the tips in hot glue! I'm trying to solve the two problems with wires in knits: 1) they poke you and 2) they poke out of the fabric. This seems to solve both problems?
