as before, i encourage you to go for music that doesn't already receive promotion in the english-speaking west, i.e. kpop and (to a much lesser degree) anime openings. if you have a contribution to make, you can post in the "#worldwide music wednesday" tag yourself or rechost this with your own additions! whatever works.

here is something important: this was done live. there's no lipsyncing to a prerecorded studio track here; this is the studio track. this is true of all coke studio performances; i don't think they're strictly "one take" in the formal sense but they effectively are. these two are both incredibly skilled singers, that much is obvious, but i think their efforts become that much more impressive when you know they're nailing all of this in a single shot.
"why coke studio," you may ask. "why is coke in the music business?" and to this i say: fucked if i know. some pakistani marketing exec thought it would be cool?
final piece of commentary on this: it's my opinion that abdullah siddiqui, the guy with the glasses who sings mostly in english, is absurdly hot. that is all
